223 with 60 g partition for small deer?

Would this work okay, Say you are out varmit hunting, have your deer tag and see
a deer? Drop in a Partition and fill your tag?

If so, what ranges (100 yards?) and also what twist would work with this (1 in 12?)

If not what is this round that several companies offer used for?

I would say out to 200 yards, with a well placed shot, you will have your small deer. I have seen to many deer dropped out to 350- 400 yards with 22-250 and swifts to know better that .224" bullets work when put in the right spot.

Yup, will take care of business if you do your part with shot placemet. I took 3 deer a couple of years ago with my 22-250. Double lung shot (pass through) at 110 yards and the furtherest one ran was about 30 yards.

My Texas buddies love it. Here in Wy 22 is not legal for big game. Twist should not be a problem.
