243 nosler 80gr bt

I plan on reloading for my 243 win using 80gr nosler bt.Can anyone tell me what i might expect from this bullet? Is it realy explosive can i use it on deer or will it blow up how's it for accuracy etc. thank you

The 80gr bullet is designed for varmints. I would not recommend it on deer. The 90gr is a hunting designed bullet as is the 85gr Partition.

Hi , Im new here ...This is my two cents ..I have two 243s and I use 80 gr Noslers in both ...One with varget and the other imr4350 ..I've killed deer with the 80 gr bullet ..None of them when no more then 5 or 6 steps after being hit with it ...I think they work great for deer , BUT its all in bullet placment .

I use the 100 grain Nosler Partition as the deer load in my .243. It gives me a muzzle velocity (chronograph) of 2872 fps.
