I have had very good luck with 7828 using 100 grain partitions in three different rifles. Started that load using the Nosler # 3 Manuel and have never looked back. Note the # 3 Manuel's top load for 7828 was two grains higher than the current. IN MY EXPERIENCE I KNOW WHY THEY TONED IT DOWN IN THE LATTER MANUELS IT WAS A BIT TOO HOT. Getting right at 3100 fps in my Win 70 featherweight SS barrel. Taken a lot of very large mule deer some at long ranges. The rifle my son is going to use this year for his first year of hunting unless my daughter claims in first.
