Hi i wanted to load up some coyote loads the fur isnt any good alot of them has the mange. I have some 85gr BT for my 25 06. I pick up a can of Reloader 19 powder. I havent never used any of it. Or any of the 85gr yet!! If you have a load let me know. And if you have used the 85gr on coyotes  let me know how good they work. too lol VM :)

VM,

If the 85 grs don't shoot, try the 100 gr BT. Pure poison on coyotes and deer.

I used the max load in the nosler book in 2 25-06's and they shot 3700fps. They both shot under .5 at 100 yards. I took coyotes out to 600 yards with my 25-06. They are definately not a pelt saving bullet. They blow huge holes. I actually like the 85g CTBTIP. I went up to 61g of RL-19 and got 3800fps. It was absolutely dynamite on any squirrel, rabbit, or coyote it touched. It about vaporizes little critters. Hits very hard for an 85g bullet.

I use the Nosler 85gr. Bal. Tip pushed along by Rel-19 57grs. It givdes me 3600fps and is pretty accurate. My rifle is a Remington 700BDL. I imagine it will group quite a bit smaller. The rifle is new, and I'm still load testing. Best wishes.

Hi JD338 i hope mine likes them i bought 4 boxes of the 85gr bullets so i have 400 of them. Mine is a New gun but they have made it in a few yrs. I fount a gun store in TX that had 2 in the box Rem 700 ADL 25 06 with black syn stock. It dont have the j lock on it. But it was still in the box and i got a good deal on it. I have had the barrel floated and the trigger set by a gunsmith and i put a Nikon 4.5x14x40mm AO scope on it. I am shooting up Win 90gr PEP ammo to get the brass and to break the barrel in. VM

Have done extensive experimenting with Savage 110FP factory 25-06, Shot 53.5 - 58.0 grains RL19, 0.5 gr increments at ca 80F. Primers were very flat at 58.0. 57.0 gr gave best groups of average 0.45 in, range 0.3-0.7 " in ca 10 groups. Velocities were 3630 +/- 15.

At ca 55 F there were no pressure signs at 58.0 gr, went to 58.5 gr and primers started to flatten. 57.5 gr gave accuracy comparable to 57 gr at 85C. Velocities were 3590 +/- 10.

Found best bullet seating to be ca. 0.015" off lands. Just touching land gave erratic velocities.

Used once fired factory federal premium casings
Federal 210 primers - all seated exactly 0.005" deep
Partial resize casing using standard RCBS, with noticeable shoulder tension, but not tight.

Be safe - work up, then slight changes in seating depth wil put you where you want to be.

Hello varmint_master,

I use Rel19 57.0grs with the Nosler 85gr. Bal. Tip. I have a new Remington 700BDL in .25-06 and thus far it's one of the few bullets that shoots well from it. I think it might have a bum barrel but am not certain. Best wishes.

I just finished load testing 85 Gr NBT in a T/C Encore 26" Hvy BL. Used 56.5 gr or REL19, OAL 3.232, fps @ 30 degrees was 3510. Shots clover leaf holes at 100 yrs. OAL critical...less then 3.230 group opened up significantly. Also loaded tested 100 Gr NBT in same cal. Had great results with 55.3 grs of H4831, OAL 3.195, fps 3220 @ 40 degrees. The 100 grainers also shot clover leafs at 100 yrs............again OAL length critical ....... 3.2 and up and below 3.190 group opened. Used WLRM primers and Remington brass for both loads. Shot 2 deer with the 100 gr load with both deer dropping in trackes..........took 1 yotie with the 85 gr load. Hit him behind front shoulder and left a 3/4 hole coming out. Hope this helps

I shoot 85gr BT with 55.5gr RL 19 about 3520fps cci 250 primers wincherster brass and an oal of 3.213 load shoots 3/4 inch at 100yds. Damage on yots varies depending on yardage, and for reloaders doing alot of test loading, I found a web site called www.bulletdudes.com that sells test packs.
