thanks in advance

Chet, hodgons #27 manual varget powder 85 gr nbt start load 43.0 gr.=3271 max same varget 46.5=3449 h- 4831 start load 54.0 gr =3302 max 58.0=3473 with this they used a 24 inch tube remington brass 1-10 twist and a remington 9.5 primer, personaly ive never loaded 85 or 87 grainer in my 25-06,my be remington 2506 will help us out,i''ll also say iv''e been super happy shooting 100 grainers out of mine, for deer and target, i crossrefence loading manuals against each other all the time, best of luck...jjmp  i''m a big fan of noslers AccuBond 110 but i wouldn''t waste them on a varmit .

I have shot quite a few of the 85's out of my rifles over the years. It has always liked a max load of RL-19. GOod for 3600-3700fps. Absolutely dynamite on yotes. Worked for me on a good whitetail buck as well. Bullet did exit. I have never tried any other powder because RL-19 has been so good to me with this bullet. Accuracy is .5" at 100 yards. I used win brass, and either fed 210's, or cci br-2's. Good luck.

Great bullet!

I use AA 4350 for about 3500 fps or so. Nice yote killer.
Shoots about as flat as Kansas.

hey I forgot i've got an 8 pounder of H380... would it do any good?

I find the Nosler 85gr. BT works very well in my .25-06 with both IMR4350 and IMR4831 as well. Rel-19 does well in this area also. Best wishes.

For best results you might need something slower.

I get very good groups with Rel-19 56.0grs., around .75" (5 at 100yds.). This give me 3540fps., but if I slow it up to around 3450fps. the groups open up quite a bit to around 1.1". I suspect that if I increase my load to 3600fps. it'll do even better. Just one mans opinion. Best wishes.

I'll second the R-19 powder. I'm using 56.5gr with the 85gr BT's and very good groups (when I don't screw it up). Here's some groups I just shot just yesterday.

Bone Stock Savage 111GL .25-06
Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40
Shot off concrete bench using bipod (100 yards)

Remington Brass
CCI BR2 Primers
56.5gr Reloader 19
Nosler 85gr Ballistic Tip (0.015" off lands)

85 gr BT's and a near max of IMR4350 get me 3500fps out of a ruger#1V. This bullet put a ground hog down for me at just shy of 600 yards.

I'm wanting to clean up my powder inventory and I was wondering if any of you have tried RL 22 or possibly even RL 25 with the 85 gr. bt in your 25/06? If so, do you have a load recommendation? Thanks in advance, GH

RL22 and 25 are too slow for the 85gr bullets. Go with RL19.
