25-06 makeover

I finally have my 25-06 looking the way I want. Its a rem 700 w/24" Shilen medium varmint contour. I painted the stock, which didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted, but it sure does look better then the rusty brown color it was before. I also drilled my ring screws out and swapped the leupold 4-12 with a 6-18 leupold w/turrets. Also got the trigger down to 1.5lbs after breaking those dang screws free. Finally have it set up for coyote hunting the way I want it. Should be a pretty decent set up for coyotes that dont want to come in, which seems to be my problem...115g VLD will be sent there way at 3250fps and they'll be in doggy heaven!!!

Look great! Should be dynamite on coyotes (and deer).

BTW, coyote hunting is much more exciting up close and personal. :grin:

JD- Yah yah I know. I try, LOL but coyotes seem to outsmart me most the time.

I'd like to try it on deer with those 115g vld's, but I"ve got my 338 EDGE I need to get bloodied with first.

I'm out of powder for every caliber I reload for right now, LOL I gotta buy some H-1000 for the EDGE, RL-22 for the 7 RM, Retumbo for the 115g vld from the 25-06, IMR-4198 for my triple deuce...

I do have some I-4831, but I'm saving that for when I get my 100g NBT's for my 25-06.
