Gents,

Can I use a 30-06 Redding S-Type bushing die (with bushing for a 25-06) to neck size 25-06 cases? Or do you think the shoulder would be a problem?

Thanks!

The "S" bushing for the Redding die is inset into the sizer die, above the shoulder of the case which means, for a .25-06 bushing in a .30-06 bushing die, part of the case shoulder will not be supported. FWIW.

My Wilson dies can be used for either the .30-06 or the .25-06, just by changing the neck bushing.

They're even stamped that way on the dies: .30-06 and .25-06 are both stamped on the dies and written on the box. I've only used that sizing die for the .25 though.

Not sure if that would also apply to your Redding dies. Perhaps?

The Wilson die appears to be a very similar design to the Redding sizer bushing die design internally. Both use an interchangeable bushing that fits a machined pocket in the die body. The main difference seems to be that the Wilson die is not threaded and uses an arbor press instead of a loading press to hold the die.
