Anybody here tried a 25 ACP breechplug in their TC Prohunter?
How about with BlackHorn 209 and 25 ACP breechplug?
I've heard this is the way to go.

Never used one, only #11 percussion caps and 209 primers. I usually put my time in with a muzzle loader every year, even in cold, rain, or snow and have never had a mis fire.
I currently use a T/C Omega and it hammers whitetails.

I used it with other subs and it worked great. Someone on another board reported that they
called Cecil at PR Bullet to ask if the .25 acp bp would work with BH209. His reply was, "Why
do you think they call it '209'?" It does take more to ignite it than 209 primers made for other
BP subs. Some say BH209 is more closely related to IMR4759 than a BP sub powder. If that's
true, one would likely have more luck setting the stuff off with a 25acp primed with a small
rifle magnum primer....just a guess. I did use them because of having an abundance of them,
but the primer pockets need to be deepened a little.
