Of all of the Creedmoor cartridges, I must say the .22 and .25 intrigue me the most.

I see that a new 128 grain ELDX is being produced by Hornady for the new .25 Creedmoor and has a G-1 Bc of .633, my question is, does anyone think I have a prayer of getting that bullet to stabilize in a .25-06 with a 1-9” twist?

I think 2950-3000 fps should be possible in a 24” barrel with this 128 grain bullet in the .25-06!

A few years ago I spun a 1:9T 25 Creed barrel on my Savage Striker. I’ve never went heavier than 120gr out of it.
What Hornady should do is make twist rates for their bullets more available.

I suspect that like the 6mm and 6.5 Creedmoor cartridges, it's going to need a minimum of 1:8 twist.

Hornady will likely list that on their product page sometime soon. The 128 gr ELD-X page isn't even up on their site yet.

I'd think that with a 1-9 twist barrel 128gn + bullet will stabilise just fine.
My 25-06 is a 1-10 twist & doesn't like any bullet over 110gn.
