Am I the only one who wants an AccuBond LR in .257? I think it would be the only bullet I would ever need for my .257 Weatherby. Can we start a petition?

I have been lobbying for a 110 or 115 gr ABLR for some time. Preferably a bullet that will stabilize in a 1:10 twist barrel?

You are not going to do much better than the 110 AccuBond. A bullet longer would be doubtful about stabilizing. Also because of the lack of weight of the bullet because of the length limitation that will stabilize you don't have enough foot pounds of energy left past about 600 yards to expand the bullet properly and transfer enough energy to effectively put deer size game down quickly. I have killed hundreds of deer with different 25 cals and even with the 257 WM 600 yards is about it. If you want to stretch out to 1000 yards you need to bump the 06 or WM case up to 6.5 with an 8 twist barrel and shoot 140s.

I'm no ballistician but a bullet with a higher BC would retain the velocity and energy farther than the current 110 AccuBond even if it was the same weight. Better BC = flatter trajectory and less wind drift

I'm quite certain my .257 Wby shooting a bullet with a similar BC to a 6.5 129ABLR wouldn't lag far behind.

I think a 123 ABLR in the quarter bore would be perfect.
