Today I was lucky enough to come across a pretty good deal on a .257 Bee and couldn't pass it up. So now I'm trying to figure out what to feed it. I'm interested in hearing some of your pet loads and what bullets you like. Thank you in advance. Can't wait to start dialing it in.

Refining a few loads for mine as well. Here are a few that have worked well in the past:

115 Grain Barnes TSX
H-1000 72.0 Grains
OAL 3.110"

100 Grain Barnes TTSX
H-1000 74.0 Grains

117 Grain Sierra Pro-Hunter Flat Base
RL 25 68.7 Grains
OAL 3.125"

100 Grain Hornady Interlock SP
H-1000 73.5 Grains
OAL 3.150"

120 Grain Nosler Partition
IMR 7828 67.0 Grains
OAL 3.240"

Haven't loaded a lot for the 257 Wby, but Noslers Most accurate load with the 120 PT and RL25 worked like a charm in my little brothers brand new 257 Weatherby. I know if I were to get my own I'd likely start there again.

Here is what has worked well for me. All cartridges are the max COL the magazine will hold / feed.

100gn BarnesTSX
63gn H-4350 (< .5 MOA@100yds) --- most accurate load in my 257 Wby

110gn Nosler AccuBond
68gn RL-22
65gn RL-19 (< .5 MOA@100yds)

117gn Hornady Interlock
73gn H-1000 (<MOA@100yds) -- blows up water jugs @ 300yds with no holdover

120gn Hornday Interlock (HP)
72gn H-1000 -- ditto as the above load

120gn Nosler Partition
71gn H-1000

These are all max or nearly max loads from a S2 Vangaurd with a 24" barrel. I probably took 2-3 minutes between shots, depending on how cool it was, and all shots were from a bipod.

Wow, those sound like alot of great loads. I know I would be pretty happy with a Vanguard like my little brothers but dropped in a B&C or similar stock. It was unreal how accurate that rifle was outta the box. Be a fun rifle to have around.

71 gr RL22 100 gr ETip <MOA at 100

That sounds like a screamer as well... Yeah, you guys aren't helping me with this at all..

Scotty,
Maybe you have a "Weatherby" gap that needs filled?
Before I shot the chrono  , the RL22 load was a shade over 3400 I think.

Trust me Dewey, I have to back up a little, as the new Vanguards seem like very solid hunting rifles. I have had two and my brothers 257 was excellent. My mind wanders a little when I think of how inexpensively they can be picked up as well. Pretty decent selection of stocks as well. Plus, I had a blast with the 257 Weatherby. That was alot of fun with my clothes on!

It would be a fun one Scotty although you might need to move west to wring that baby out :)

The rifle I picked up is a vanguard. I'm actually really impressed with how good it feels/looks. I hope it shoots as good as it looks. I guess I'll find out this weekend
