Hi,

New here. Does anyone have any info using H4831 with 115 partitions with 257Wby mag. A start and max load so I know where to start safely. I also have RL 22 on my shelf, but have found H4831 always seems to shoot well for my rifle.

Welcome to the forum. While Nosler does not list H4831 (or H4831SC) in the current Reloading Guide, QuickLoad projects a maximum charge of 66.5 grains of either H4831 or H4831SC with a 115 grain Nosler Partition in the 257 Weatherby Magnum. This projects a velocity of 3344 in a 26 inch barrel. You could probably increase the charge to 67.0 grains with RL22 (in full agreement with the Nosler Reloading Guide No. 6), which projects a velocity of 3382 fps in the same 26 inch barrel. Starting loads should be ten percent less (i.e., 60 grains of H4831 or 61 grains of RL22) and worked up in increments to ensure that the load is safe in your rifle.
