260 and 300 Accubond for 375Wby

I think I am going to take a leap here and get a box of 260gr and 300gr AccuBond to try in my 375Wby. I am experiencing group variation with my 300gr TSX which is not good. This is a new box of 300TSX and it is not acting like the last box. Same seating depth, powder charge, brass and primer but not getting consistent group to group consistency.

I am going to start with H4831sc and any of you who have any other powder consideration that work well with the AccuBond let me know. I have on hand IMR4350, H4350 and some others.

I really would like to creat a long range round as well as my general hunting distances.

Keep us posted on your range results. The 300 gr AB should be a dandy. Are the 300 gr AB's available yet?

I will have to start with the 260gr bullet because Nosler is out of them and Midway has not received them yet.
 
H-4350 along with H-414 looks like to be the best bets for your 375. On the Hodgdon site, these two appear to have the best efficiency; grains to velocity ratio. I can`t find any IMR 4831 data for your Wby.

H-4350 has given me great results for my 375 Ruger.

Yeah, Big Squeeze, I developed by working up with H4831sc to 93grs with the TSX and average velocity over the chrony was 2873fps but that was with the TSX. It did not work well with Hornady 300gr nor the Sierra 300gr.

I am guessing that the extra powder space over the 375H&H will require a powder like IMR4350 or H4350 to give me accuracy and velocity but will find out soon. Sure wish I had a few 300gr Accubonds to try but will have to wait until they make some more. I really would like to settle on a bullet and load for my 375Wby. I would like to make some extend shots with it and at the same time it perform well up close. Well that is what testing is all about and it is fun to do and when I find the load I will put it to use.
