260 Remington Help

As stated above, trim to the minimum length.
Keep an eye on cases stretching as mine appear to stretch more than any of my other calibers.

Well I loaded some bullets as suggested and went to the range this evening an here are my results so far. I measure all groups furthest point to furthest point with a caliper and subtracted .264 for center to center measurement.

130AB 2.803COL CCR-BR RL-19 41.5grains = 3Group 1.344"
Best 2 =0.856(Flyer was 1st shot from cold barrel)

130AB 2.803COL CCR-BR RL-19 43.0grains = 3Group 1.083"
Best 2 =0.208(Flyer probably user error based on the other 2?)

130AB 2.803COL CCR-BR RL-19 44.5grains = 3Group 2.241"
Best 2 = Doesn't matter they were all over the place.

130AB 2.803COL CCR-BR RL-19 46.0grains = 3Group 1.223"
Best 2 = 0.564(Had to rush 3rd shot due to range closing barrel temp could have been an issue)

I would assume from this data I should try the next loads at 43.0, 42.5,42.0, and 44.0?? Or should I just try the next powder or both?

ldg,
I'd try another batch of the 43.0grains of RL-19. That would be a keeper if you did happen to pull one off ??
As for the next powder.......I guess that would depend on if you have something else on had to try? I'm a huge Viht fan, but it's expensive to have to buy 2lbs at a time just to see if it "might" work. I am seeing some 1 lb cans now though....I'd try some N-140
