Some of you may remember that I couldn't get the 140 gr Partitions to shoot so I decided to switch bullets. I think my lot of bullets was really unbalanced even when bullet runout was good the front of the bullet wobbled noticeably no such problems with the 140 gr AccuBond. The bullets seated much straighter and now the 140 gr AccuBond is showing some promise. The 100 yard groups were pretty good so I shot it the second time out at 250 yards.

250 yards
264 Win Mag
140 gr AccuBond
63.5 gr Retumbo
CCI 250
1.52" goup

Same load but with Remington 9 1/2 primers I am likely to blame for the flier 2.79" group

Next time out I will likely try 300 and 400 yard groups.

You are definitely on the right track, Gerry. That is certainly an excellent bullet.

Nice shooting. Looks pretty darn good from here and I don't think I would want to be on the receiving end.

Gerry, that looks excellent. Any idea on what kind of speed you are getting out of 63.5gr's of Retumbo? Mine likes a bit more for speed, but it certainly hasn't disapointed me in the least in accuracy. I have some 140gr AB's I need to try out. They are some nice bullets for the mighty 264. Scotty

Gerry,

Nice shooting! That is an accurate all around load.

A friend of mine shot one of the uprights on my Chrony so I don't know but the 140 gr Partitions clocked 3050-3100 fps at the same powder charge so I imagine these would be similar. The first thing I noticed when opening the new box a couple of days ago was how long the AccuBond is kinda reminds me of a junior 200 gr 308 AB. They should be outstanding at longer ranges in the wind especially.

They are some long sleek missiles. Wished I had more time to mess with them this year. I like the looks of them and your penetration test really adds some more "like" to them as well. Maybe, time permitting I will have a chance to run some of them and see what they do. The 130's are downright nasty. I imagine they are going to wreak havoc on deer. Scotty
