Does anyone know if 150gr Accubonds are as accurate as 150gr Ballistic tips? Has anyone anyone just changed bullets with the same load or do you have to work up a different load ?

Im really not sure if bonding process maked any pressure difference, that would effect harmonics.

Not in a .270 but the 165 gr. AccuBond shoots sub MOA in my 30-06, I took a nice fat cow elk with it a few years back. Bullet hit the right side just behind the short ribs and stopped in the left lung making strawberry jam in the process. I never found the bullet and no exit wound. I think it may have been in the mess of that lung. The elk ran off maybe 30 or so yard ins a half circle and expired. I would definitely use that bullet on elk again and not worry.

I put a S&B 3-12 back on my Kimber 270 Win. The load I am using is H4831SC, WW cases, CCI200's and 150 AB's.

I started off at 20 yards.

First was left, adjusted a little right, shot the 2nd one. Went back to 100 and shot the bottom 3. Made one adjustment and shot the next 3.

Then I loaded up 3 more to verify the zero was good enough.

Having 6 shots MOA was good enough to me and the wind was howling.

Took it back to 400 and 450 in the wind just to see how stuff was moving.

So, to answer your question, the AB's shoot great, the 150 BT's shoot exactly the same with all else being identical. My 150 BT's are some old stock I got from the Bivwak site back in the day you bought a bunch at a rip. To be honest, I'd use the 150 AB and BT interchangeably on elk and such. The BT is a tough BT and is almost too tough for me to use on deer.
