It is a custom rifle, I think.

What is the exact inscription on the barrel designating the chambering? The maker should have stamped it on the left side near the reciever.
We need to know the chambering in order to give you safe advice.

There is such a thing, and it's a wildcat....that's about all I know about it...
Quintin, what's the case based off of??

I am not sure what the case is based off of, I just saw it in a pawn shop and was wondering if there was any good loads for it and how the rifle does and I was thinking about buying it. So I dont really know anything about it.

quentin9595,

I also do not know what the 270 Weaver is and couldn't find anything in a search of the internet.
With all do respect, this rifle is in a pawn show with no known background history and no source of information for loading a wildcat, you might want to pass on this one.

Before I worried about loads, I would be worried about brass and dies....It's got to be some kind of custom rig, so does any of that stuff come with it? Does it look like a custom rig, or does it say New Haven Conn on it someplace? :p
Assuming of course it's not just mislabeled, i.e. a .270 Win with a Weaver scope....I've seen some wierd (read very wrong) tags in pawn shops....I don't suppose the owner would let you slug the chamber so you can see what it really is

I will just probably pass on this one then. Because the owner said it has been there for a while.

Yep, I was hoping that you would pass on this one and JD has given some good advice. Just not worth the headache or heartache.
