Anybody have a good load for 140 gr bullets in 270 WIN using either RL-22 or H 1000? Still playing with Accubonds, looking to tune accuracy some.

58-59 gr of rl22. work up to it.....
If you've got a little 7828 sc laying around, 57.6 below that 140 AB does goood things for me. You know the deal, work up safely, but that's where I've found the node on my .270s. Congrats on a good choice. That 140 AB at about 3000 kills stuff like nobody's business. It's my go to rifle for antelope, mule deer, and elk.

I used 63 gr H1000 with G215M magnum primers. It shot well for me. For some reason it did not like large primers.
It is about 3000 fps. Work up and start lower.
Another nice power is N560 59 gr with G215M 2950 fps from 22.5 inch barrel.
I could get good velocity with 59.5 gr RL-22 but not as good accuracy as N560.

Thanks for the heads up on using 215s on the .270. I'm messing with my daughter's rifle right now, and it'll put two just about touching and then the other around an inch away. The powder charge I described above seems to work best in it, so now I'll try swapping in some different primers to see if that tightens things up.

If you're getting two touching and one outlier, try shortening up the COL in .005" steps. I suspect there's a good chance it can be corrected with COL adjustments.
ECO Diver, I had good luck with G215M Federal match large magnum primers but with 140 gr and 150 gr only. It will increase velocity about 25 FPS over large primers.
Anything lighter I use CCI BR2. BR2 work great for me with H4831 sc and 130 BT or AB. 140 AB my accuracy load is H4831 sc with 58 gr and G215M. They shoot about 2850 fps and almost the same hole at 100 yards from Sako 85 Classic.
N560 is a nice powder to use with 140 AB. Funny, it works great with my 6.5x55 SE 140 AB, 270 win 140 AB, and 280 AI and .....140AB! Burns clean.

For your daughter you might want to use 130AB. Less recoil. My load it is H4831 sc 60.5gr and CCI BR 2 primers. Velocity 3050 fps. I use Norma brass for all my loads.
