Guys I could use some help with a load. I'm shooting a TC 270 win and I'm gonna be using 140 grain barnes triple shock. Have any of you guys had ant luck with these bullets? I tried some 150 grn partitions with no luck at all.

Try mid-max load of H4831SC and you should be happy. If not, try the same with RL-22, but I bet you don't make it that far.

That 140 TSX accounted for my buddy's muley buck and cow elk within 3 days of each other--both animals died remarkably quick with heart shots each. He was shooting a 700 Remington, but I imagine you should find similiar results with your Encore.

Barnes manual 51gr to 54gr/ H-4350 with 140gr TSX in the 270.

I'm using 53gr/H-4350 TSX seated .050" off the lands. I tried H-4831sc seems to work better with 150gr partitions bullets in my rifle.

What are you trying to acheive? What's a good load? What are you hunting? At what range?

I had good luck with H4831 and the TTSX's. I had a great load of right around 60gr and it shot really well out of a buddies new Vanguard. Scotty

Try H4831 and RL 22. Both are great powders in the 270 Win.
