270 win

My brother has had trouble with deer running on him using hornady 130 gr. we just bought 140 grain nosler bt. does anybody have a reccomendation on powder for this particular bullet? i looked in the nosler book, but i just want to know some test results people have had with this load????

Steel, Everyone is going to tell you that H4831 SC or standard is the one. That may be, but IMR 7828, or R22 are pretty awesome as well. I used the AccuBond this Fall with &*@* and was very very pleased. Velocities in a 26" barrel were just under 3200 ft/sec's, and accuracy was under 1 MOA.

RL-19 and IMR-4064 have worked well in my uncles 270win. with all the Nosler 140gr Bullets.

RL-22 and the 270 Win. were made for each other. Both in velocity and accuracy. JMO
