270 Winchester and rl25

It looks like it has potential, but it would be highly compressed.....if you could get enough in the case....

RL 22 is a better choice in the 270 Win, right behind H4831.

I have the best luck with H4831 and CCI primers.

Pop has better luck with RL22, but he likes Federal Primers.

I've noticed this trend more then once...

I'm beginnig to wonder if RL22 is partial to the federal primers.

I use RL22 with CCI primers in my 270. I can't complain about the accuracy or velocity.

I have had great luck with it in the 270 WSM, but I would think you might be better off with a bit faster powder due to the limited space in the 270 win case.

I have had good luck with RL-22 with the heavier bullets and IMR 4350 with the 130s.

Just for the heck of it I am going to try rl25 with 150 BT's as my 270 has a long, long magazine and long throat. Most of my loading is for fun anymore and I would like to find the "magic load". Anyone with first hand experience with rl25 and the 270 please join in. Thanks for the replies so far!
