270 WSM load data

Looking for help finding the exact or a similar load to an old factory load I used to shoot. if anyone also has a better load to shoot with that bullet that would be excellent as well.

Federal Premium 270WSM w/ 150gr Nosler Partition.

Retumbo with 150gr berger vld has the best velocity and accuracy on my current 270wsm barrel .
My last barrel the load was with Reloder 26.
Unfortunately Im not sure many people have these two powders at their disposal.

Sorry, I haven't loaded for the 150 gr PT, as I went with the 140 gr bullets for compromise in velocity and energy in the 270.
Re-19, 22 and 26 are top choices for the 140 gr AccuBond and Trophy Bonded Tip, and I've read that MagPro is a good powder for the 136 gr Terminal Ascent bullet which I am still waiting to find and try in my WSM.

Jb,
I've had really good luck with my Browning 270WSM with Magpro and Fed 210M primers and 150G Accubonds. Just over 3000 fps and 0.3 to 0.4 groups at 1230 ft elevation. Hope this helps.

I had a .270 WSM on a Remington 700 SPS back in the day. Loved the cartridge but that rifle was a lemon. Feeding issues, extraction and ejection issues, bedding issues. Ugh.

Anyways, I never could get the 3000 fps from factory or handloads and 150 grain bullets so just shot 130’s at 3200-3250 fps out of it. They shot well but never did take any big game with it before I sold the gun.

I had a 270WSM in a Sako 75 Finnlight.
My load was RL22 with 150 PT at just under 3000 fps. Good brasslife and less the moa. Lots of Elk and Whitetail with that load.

Accurate Magpro and Ramshot Magnum will get 3100 fps with 150 partitions in 270 WSM with 24” barrel. Ramshot has load data and it has been spot on for me in 2 different 270 WSMs. Winchester Staball HD and Ramshot Grand should as well though not tried them yet

Im new to reloading and looking for some help creating a load for my 270 wsm weatherby vanguard
I have some 150 gr Nosler ballistic tips that i would like to try, the only primers i could find were the Ginex large rifle primers and I have winchester/hornady brass. Looking at powders that are readily available and temp stable that i could possibly use in my 6mm rem and 3006. On hand i have varget and H4350.
not sure if i should post here or where. Any help appreciated.

The H4350 should work okay with the 150’s. Typically in the 270 WSM I used slower powders from H4831 all the way to Retumbo.

Nosler shows data for IMR4350 so I’d feel pretty comfortable starting there and working up with your rifle.

Don't be afraid to use Sandard large rifle primers in WSM case.
I use them on every WSM barrel I've ever owned.
