.28 Nosler...

Honestly between the 270, the 30-378 Accumark and 378 or 416 Bee I can do everything ever........

Not sure on the 270 WBY vs the Nosler, but if you've already got a Wby doing 3200, your probably at the top of the curve. Heck, my little WSM runs the 150 PT's at 3150 and I am very happy with that load. I just like the 270's..

Scotty - did ya know Nosler's top load for the 150 from a .30-06 is 3056 fps?

I'm just having some fun. There are so many great, high-velocity cartridges available to us now, it's hard for me to understand yet another one, or even a whole new series of them.

I have nothing against the new Nosler cartridges, they look great!

But I'm wondering now, just like I was when the RUM series and the WSM series were introduced... Do we really "need" them? The answer is of course "no." We don't need them, but dang, new toys are FUN!

If I should change to a .27Nosler over my .270WEa the Nosler round must be able to add atleast another +100 ft/sec over the Weatherby round with a 150grain. We must not forget the .270Weatherby is from 1943. If has become a Classic not yet superseeded in it´s class.
A .277cal 150grain doing close to 3400 ft/sec.....That´s a smoker!.

That will make a nice build. My 7mm RUM with 168gr. AB/LR bullets clocks 3355 fps out of my Rem 700. At 8 lbs 4 oz including the Bushnell 4200 6-24x40 . I'll stay with it for now but if a Nosler 36 or 42 comes out "sign me up" (y)

That is pretty darned serious power Greg! Wow, talk about a LR killer!

I'd be pretty keen on the .36, I imagine the 286 grain Partition would be some serious medicine!

I've never really been a fan of the .277 bore for whatever reason but a 27 Nosler sounds nice. How about the 85 grain E-tip at 4000fps+

Regardless, it sounds like the most powerful 7mm that will fit in a standard action. 7mm STW and 7mm RUM won't fit in my Savage 7mm rem mag.

BUT they ALL fit in a Remmy M700 L action (y) RJ

Exactly.

I had the hardest time explaining that to a die-hard Model 70 fan about 8 years ago...

The guys over on the Shooters Forum are hollering for a 35 Nosler. Yeah they want a medium bore big time.

It would be nice cartridge... Got something sorta similar right now though...

They're trying to reinvent the wheel, Scotty. They just need to get a 35 Newton reamer and they're good to go.

I'd like to see it... The brass would be welcome, that's for sure.
