The 140AB in my standard .280 is a .4" and .5" inch bullet as well! I think the 140AB and .280 are a perfect match made in heaven!

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the comments! I just wanted clarify, I mistakenly stated that the 2009 buck above was taken with the AB. After posting, I remembered that last year I was shooting a different but very similar custom load that featured BT's. As you can see I switched back to the the factory AB's this year and will be sticking with them going forward!

The BT works just fine on deer, as you have demonstrated. The AB perhaps gives a little more confidence, but the BT works just fine. Still great deer, and they were taken with a great cartridge and a couple of fine bullets.

Just tried some of the nolser custom 280 ackley ammo out of a mauser I rebarreled for my dad. Very impressive. I didn't get a chance to run it over a chrony but it shot a figure 8 three shot group. EIther the third one disentegrated on its way down range or it slipped thru one of the first two bullet holes. This is some seriously impressive ammo.
