Had some freetime this afternoon so I finally shot my 70BT ladder for the 6-284 and got up to 48.5 with no signs so back to the bench for more pressure loads. I also re-sighted in the 280 after having issues and finding a flaw in the rings and playing around with the trigger some more. After I got her where I wanted her 2 inches high at 100 I shot one three shot and pulled one so I figured I'd shoot one more with the barrel warm and bingo!! 3 in .425. That thing flat shoots. After I pulled one I shoved three in and under the bolt to make sure it was a fluke and not me jerking the trigger. Then adjusted my windage and fired one more dang I'm happy with it.

Remington cases Winchester WLR primers 52.5gr of IMR-4350 topped off with 140 BT @ 3.315"

Looks like you have the one with those 140s! What kind of speeds are you getting with that load?

Way to go. You and I both are .280 and 6mm-284 shooters...well, at least I will be a 6mm284 shooter tomorrow. I'm looking forward to getting that rifle out to the range.

Honestly no idea. It's a 22" barrel on her and nosler claims 2950got the chrony out today and its missing a bunch of parts. I just might order me a new one. It's 20 some years old and is kinda falling apart.

Great shooting buddy. That 280 looks pretty awesome. Can't wait to see some numbers!

Thanks guys feels good to have her dialed in and know I can shoot her consistently. There after the first good group I started questioning myself but glad I got that fixed!

Nicely done buddy.
I have used that same load with similar results. Its a good accurate load.

I am going to start playing with my nephew's 280 real soon. IMR 4350 looks like the go to powder for it as well. I use 4350 in 5 different calibers.
I was told that IMR 4350 is more temperature sensitive than the H 4350. I had never really worried about that but I would like to get to be the best I can be in this loading game. So your input is most welcome :)
I have my Forster press on order and I am going to be switching all the my dies that I can over to Forster.
More good news, supposedly supplies are starting trickle to up from the US.
Daryl who owns Regina Shop states he has been assured that this coming Tuesday is the big day and he has 2 trucks of supplies booked in
I am hoping for a lot of my supplies to be on those 2 trucks.
This time I will not go short again :!:

Blessings
Dan

Just a caution, I used that load for awhile in my Browing A-Bolt for 140 Partitions (52.5 grs, IMR 4350). With a match primer, I only got 2707 MV-AWG velocity. I know that is is a max load in some Nosler Manuals but I had to go up to 45.5 grains with the 140 gr Partition to match Winchester Supreme 140 gr loads for speed and accuracy.

Charlie,

I can actually go up to 57.5gr in my gun but I tried this load for accuracy and she flat shoots. I don't know what I'm getting for velocity and really don't care cause it shoots so well when I get a new chrony if I'm bored and disappointed I may play with her but with the way it shoots can't complain.
