Has anyone tried the 3 in 1 cutter heads by RCBS or Forster? I was wondering how the Forster attaches and if the RCBS threads would work with a Hornady trimmer. Or if they aren't worth it at all. It would be nice to do 3 things at once when you have to do several hundred cases. Thanks

I have the RCBS one for .22 caliber cartridges. Great tool. I have gravitated towards not-maximum-pressure loads, so my cases don't stretch a whole lot. Thus, I don't have to trim much but rather shine up the chamfers on the mouth of the cases. I use it for .223, .22-250 and .222 cases. If I had multiple .30 calibers I'd probably get that one too.

That I'm not sure of; my trimmer is also RCBS. Someone with a Hornady trimmer will likely be along shortly and can answer.

I absolutely LOVE my 3-Way Cutters! I have one for every rifle bore size I reload, except for the .35 caliber because it's not available. I don't shoot and reload much for the Whelen, but I'd buy the 3-Way Cutter if I could get it. I wish RCBS would make one.

What are they? I looked at them today at my local reloading place, but I have never heard of them? Scotty

Scotty, these things trim to length and do the inside and outside chamfering too, all at the same time. They are liberating. Take the case off the trimmer, and no further case mouth preparation is necessary.

The 3-way is so cool. It takes a lil bit learn it. I lost 4 cases practicing but once you understand how to set it up, boy does it save a whole lot of time and is very accurate and perfected.

Would they fit on the older style RCBS case trimmer? Mine is the older style with collets. Sounds like a great piece of kit. Like I said, I looked at them, just wasn't sure how they worked? Thanks for the G2. Scotty

I have one for 7mm (RCBS) and love it. It takes a while to get it all set up how you want, but once you do, a guy can get some brass trimmer in a hurry and not have to do the other two steps.

Now may be a good time to invest in the 3 in 1 cutter as RCBS has a mail-in rebate for up to $50 for people purchasing RCBS items. Ten dollars rebate for fifty dollars purchases and $50 for $300 in purchases.

Ah, just what I need is another "deal"... My wife is about had it up to her head with "deals"! Scotty
