I have been trying to find the right "mixture" using sierra 150 boat tails.

The problem is I dont have a lot of time right now to spend on finding the proper load and I am hoping that someone here has one put togther that I can possible fine tune.

I currently have IMR 3031 and 4350 any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

shooter2000,

Try IMR4350, 59.0 grs with the Seirra 150 gr bullet. This is a Max load.
Should get you to where you want to be.

Thanks for the info.

Have you guys found the loading manuals that state "accuracy or hunting" loads to be fairly accurate?

I have always strived for accuracy. 100 fps doesn't matter if you don't hit exactly where you are aming.

I agree with JD338......The right spot with the right bullet will beat out speed any day of the week ....and on any game. I use a Chrony to clock when I'm working up loads, but that's only so I can see what the SD is and if the load velocities are consistant within the group. Once I have a load I'm going to use for hunting, I put away the Chrony and concentrate on tweaking for accuaracy only.
