Got the rifle from my grandpa and trying to get it going. Seeing a decent bit of older load data for the non improved often called .308 super. Problem I’m seeing is it’s mostly in RL22 and I don’t have access to it. If anyone has load data on this or some safe charges for commonly available magnum powders it would be much appreciated. Can get my hands on retumbo and h1000 fairly easy

Your case capacity is close to a 300 Weatherby. Powders that work in 300 Wby should work for you.

It’s basically a 300 Jarrett. H4831, VV N165, RL22, and 25, anything slow burning.

My old load was 84.0 H4831sc/F215M/ in 300 Jarrett brass @ 3.6450” coal using the old 165 MRX Bullet, discontinued long ago for being armor piercing as well as penetrate the full length of an elk. It was going 3450 fps in a 25” Jarrett rifle barrel.

I also developed a very accurate target load for the Berger 185 Juggernaut behind 80.0 grs of VV N165 F215M in Jarrett brass @ 3.666”. The devil's brew on Steel.

Use with extreme caution in your rifle, these were all from newly produced rifles that had custom actions, and Kenny had hundreds of Tunes that were developed in his rifles for customers.
