30 Nosler Loads

My wife has done it again. She won the Dream Gun Raffle at the gun club and decided she wants a rifle with more horsepower. After some discussion and gun handling, a light weight rifle was going to be the direction we take. She made her decision based on her M48 Heritage 280AI and chose another Nosler rifle. After a discussion with the Nosler folks, Sue is going to be the proud owner of a M48 Mountain Carbon in 30 Nosler! I've already secured dies, brass, Retumbo and hopefully I can find some 180 gr AB/BT bullets.
Does anyone have any load suggestions for the 30 Nosler?

200 AccuBond - 81.0gr Retumbo in a Nosler case with Fed 215M primer gets me 2,920 ft/sec in a 26" Bartlein bbl. Accuracy is well under 1moa @ 400yds.

I suspect that is a great choice for a rifle and for the cartridge in which it will be chambered. It should pack a wallop. I would think the 180 grain bullets should do the trick quite nicely. Congratulations on the win and the choice.

Congrats to your Bride, Jim.

I have the M48 Liberty in 30 Nosler. Currently, I'm using Nosler Trophy Grade ammo with the 180AB and will eventually develop a load for it. I scored big time 2 years ago and was able to get five boxes of Nosler TG 180AB ammo from MidwayUSA for $36 a box. I would go with the 180ABs. Good luck on sourcing brass and bullets during these weird times.

That's awesome, congratulations to her! Havent played with a 30 Nosler yet, so I cant help with loads, but I'd be hard pressed to pass up the 200g ABs out of it based off what I've seen it do over the years from several 300 win Mags at 2850-2900fps.

Guy, yes it has a muzzle brake so recoil won't be a problem for her. In fact She has shot a 300 Win Mag feather weight and a 30-378 Wby Mag with no issues. She has also shot my 338 RUM and it didn't bother her.
I may have created a monster!
Does anyone happen to have an extra box/bag of 180 gr AB or BT bullets that they would be willing to sell!

Thanks fellas. Sue is excited to get it and I am looking forward to load development.
Guy, yes it has a muzzle brake so recoil won't be a problem for her. In fact She has shot a 300 Win Mag feather weight and a 30-378 Wby Mag with no issues. She has also shot my 338 RUM and it didn't bother her.
I may have created a monster!
