Yes, would you please make custom ammo for the .300 Dakota (arguably their best-selling cartridge and chambering)? 180gr.-200gr. Partitions and accubonds.

And make some good brass for it- I'd buy a bunch of both!

It is on the list. Should be worked up in the lab for loading in the next few weeks.

That is great news.

I assume that you will be using NOSLER BRASS ?

Please POST when it is available.

Thank you.

For the Dakota's we won't be using Nosler Brass. Just because we don't make it  I will post once we finish the loads with the brass we will be using, have a feeling it will be dakota brass.

Still sounds good that you will make the ammo.

Which Dakota manufactured brass will you be using?

I have heard that Dakota gets brass from three sources:

Norma: limited quantities; no longer produced
Bertram: ??
Bell-MAST: ??

I don't know much about brass, but I would like to get your take on which brass your supply is coming from?

What expected velocities will you be getting from your loaded ammo using your:

165 gr bullets?
180 gr bullets?
200 gr bullets?

Please mention test barrel length also. Also, I didn't see any data in the last Nosler Manual I bought. Is there now published load data for the .300 Dakota in your new manual?

Thank you very much.

It is in Reloading Guide #5

It was tested with a 26" and a 1-10"

The 150 grain Ammo looks like it might be around 3300-3400 fps
The 165 will probably be around 3100-3200 fps
All this is still in the air.

Once we finish data for the ammo I will make sure to post the info.

Wait for Lapua to start making Dakota's brass! Then there will be no inconsistencies with the brass. :p
