Yep, I'm really on a 45-70 buzz. I have seen that some of you use the 300 gn Partition with your Marlin 1895's. So are these safe to use in a tube magazine? Guess I'm a little confused. Typically we always used "round nose" bullets. I know the Partition has a soft lead tip but it is not "round nose" is it.

Don't know if I can even find some but if I can, I will follow JD's lead for bear.

Yes they are flat point. Very accurate and very deadly. Good luck finding any

Yeah man, it is ULTIMATE 45-70 bullet Long. Big flat point on it. No issues in a tube. If you find some, covet them.. They are worth saving for hunting. A 300 grain Hornady, Speer or Sierra is a good bullet to load for shooting targets and exchanged for the PT. That is one penetrating bullet..

Why on earth were they discontinued I will never know~

That is one of the most missed bullets ever from Nosler. The .45/70 & .450 Marlin guys may never get over the loss of that 300 gr Partition.

This was a killer bullet! I only got to shoot then and hunt with them for about 2 years which is a shame. Nosler should bring them back!

Roger that.. I know they wouldn't be inexpensive, but they are some really awesome bullets. I have a bunch of them I got from Kodiak, but I am hoarding them for hunting only. They were very accurate as well. My Guide Rifle turned in a few 3" groups at 300 yards with them. I was very impressed all the way around with them.
