I was wondering how a 300 grain bullet would work in the new savage muzzleloader that uses smokeless powder. 300 grainers can be fired 2400 fps. Do you think that the 300 grainer would hold up?
The best bullet by far we have found for ML is the Barnes Bullet with the big HP and their Mag sabot. I shot the 250gr and deer dropped like struck by lightening.
Lead conaicals, jacketed or lead pistol bullets not so good.
