Ok,next project is a load for my Vanguard.
On hand I have 165 ABs,165 Solid Base Boattails,180 BTs.
On tap I also have IMR 4350,RL19,RL22 and H1000.
Loading Weatherby brass, once fired in my rifle.

Where to begin?

Looking for a load for midwestern whitetails.

Parts of our hunting area are CRP fields that are 6-7 foot tall grass. These CRP fields are surrounded by corn and soybean fields. The deer bed in the CRP and move out to feed late.Shots could be out to 400 yards.
Need a load that will anchor them "right there" or at least leave a very easy to follow blood trail.

Thanks in advance.

The 165 gr AB is an excellent bullet, is a great choice for your hunting needs.
The 180 gr BT would be a good pick, buck the wind better than the lighter bullets too.

180 with rl22 or imr 7828 and you are ready for everything!
