I'm sorry to keep bugging you guys regarding load data and development. A family friend just joined the Elk hunt I'm going on this fall and he has a dilemma.

He purchased a couple boxes of Barnes 200 grain LRX bullets to use in his 300 Weatherby and he has relied on and trusts H1000 powder. I'm not seeing much in the way of 200 grain mono bullets let alone load data for them in the Bee, so I'm really at a loss as to how I can assist him...

Any insight as to where to look for the data or help is appreciated:
300 Weatherby
200 grain Barnes LRX
H1000

I've sent him the link to Dr. Vette's inquiry in 2015 with IMR 7828ssc powder - viewtopic.php?f=4&t=31582&hilit=300+weatherby+200+grain+LRX - but he is currently holding tight on using H1000.
 
81.1 grain would be considered a max load . you should start 4.0 grains below this , which would be 77.1 gr min , and work up .

He purchased a couple boxes of Barnes 200 grain LRX bullets to use in his 300 Weatherby and he has relied on and trusts H1000 powder. I'm not seeing much in the way of 200 grain mono bullets let alone load data for them in the Bee, so I'm really at a loss as to how I can assist him...

I've sent him the link to Dr. Vette's inquiry in 2015 with IMR 7828ssc powder - viewtopic.php?f=4&t=31582&hilit=300+weatherby+200+grain+LRX - but he is currently holding tight on using H1000.

Email Barnes, they will send you data for a 200 grain bullet.

I think the quickload info I posted above will keep you out of trouble .
 
If that bullet shoots it should be a wicked performer in the 300 Weatherby.
 
I didn't do as well as I would have liked with the 7827SSC, so moved to MRP, which is essentially a better (?) version of RL-22, the preferred Nosler powder. And, MRP is made by the people who make Weatherby ammo, so...

I moved last fall and just a couple of days ago looked at the load data for the first time in 9 months. I'll actually be asking for a Quickload for MRP once I have a chance to publish my data, but I think it will do well.
