Hard to beat the 300's or the 338WM for portability. I like the BIG 338's but I think you step up a class in rifle weight also. Scotty

I'm a huge fan of the 338's and I'll bet you could put one on a diet to get it down a little.

Bill you probably right. My M70 338 seems to be just right for weight and such. Pretty pleasant to shoot from the field and carries pretty nicely. It doesn't have the butt your Lapua or Jim's RUM does but I is still packing plenty of power out there. At least enough for me. Scotty
