I know this question has been asked several time but the info is hard to find. I will be shooting 165 AB in a Tikka T3 lite. I have new federal brass and magnum primers and imr 4350 and imr 4830. Just need some in site as to what you guys think. The load data from nosler doesn't list the 300 win mag, just a 300 win. Nor does it say ti use magnum primmer........

The 300 winchester listed in the nosler library is the 300 win mag. Use the mag primers for best results. The loads listed for 165 nab with imr 4831 are 70.0 grns. to 74.0 grns. Start low and work up slowly.

Welcome to the forum.
You have all the right components to load.
You want to use a Magnum primer in the 300 Win Mag and the Federal GM215M is a good one. Both IMR4350 and IMR4831 good powders, RG #6 shows the following-

IMR4350
starting load of 68.0 grs and a MAX load of 72.0 grs.

IMR4831
starring load of 70.0 grs and a MAX load of 74.0 grs.

Remember to start low and work up.

Let us know how your load development goes.

Thanks gents. That was what i found as well. Just needed a second opinion to be safe. Theres so much info on the www that it can be a little confusing to some. I cant do anything about how far i seat my bullet as am limited to my clip. So all i have is powder, bullet and primer to work on.

Always happy to help.
Load your COL as long as your clip will allow, just make sure you have some clearance for the shells to feed through the clip.

You also have other powder options available if you can't get the desired level of accuracy.

Let us know how she shoots.

Start at 72 grains of H 4831 or rl22 and work up to about 77 grains. These are the powders for the 300 winnie!

Pop is spot on, RL22 is the powder for the 300 WM.

+1 more for RL-22
The 300 win mag I had loved 165gr AB's with 77 gr of RL-22 and a CCI 250.
Start low and work up.

300 Win Mag

Well i am all done with my development. Settled on 73gr of imr 4831 with a 3 shot group of 2 touching and one 1/2" away.

Now im working on 200grn AccuBond. Any suggestion's with imr 4350 or 4831?
