300 WSM IMR 4831 150 grain Accubond

For the 300 WSM and 150gr the IMR 4064 is excellent.

With 165/168 and 180's the IMR 4831 and RL 19 was good!

Fed 215M or WLRM primer.

Thanks for the info. I worked up a starting load this weekend and will test it on Saturday. I will let you know how it turns out.

I just used my Mod 70 Featherweight in 300 WSM yesterday to take a Caribou .
My load is 72.5 gr. IMR 4831, 150 AccuBond at a chronographed 3350 fps and sub 3/4", 3 shots. It seems according to consensus on the Short Mag website, IMR 4831 is THE powder for 150,s & 165,s in the 300 WSM.
Just my .02.

Actually IMR 4064 @ 62.0 is the powder with 150 TSX or AB grain bullets with WLRM primers in WW cases in the 300 WSM.

I would tend to stick with bonded bullets......or the excellent
Sierra 165 BTHP Gameking and IMR 4831 or Reloader 19 with the 165's.

Alaska, your'e right on the money with 4064 and the 150 grain bullet. IMR4831 is a bit slow for the bullet weight in that caliber. I tried 4064 awhile back for a 150 grain Sierra in my .300WSM and found both ballistics and accuracy surprisingly good, using quite a bit less powder in the process.
