I'll look at my data at home for what I loaded for a friends .300 WSM and 180 gr. Accubonds. I came up with two loads with two different powders that shot amazing. I'll check and let you know, but I believe one load was H4831SC and the other was IMR4831. Several grains of powder difference between the loads because of the different burn rates, but what was fascinating was that both of these loads shot amazing groups, the velocity's were within 10-15 fps of each other, and they shot to almost the exact same POI. The pressures and harmonics had to just be about spot on. First time I've gotten that lucky with two different powders. I'll research my data and let you know.

Last I heard of him, he'd moved off down to Georgia back-country and had finally gave up tryin' to pound that 40 grain powder- charge in that Hornet case

Welcome to the forum. You will find a great group of fellows here. Generally speaking, medium burn powders perform quite well in the 300 WSM. One of the powders that performs very well is H4831SC. I use a surprising amount of IMR4831 and H414 and W760. All work very well. With the 180 grain bullets, a couple of other powders that work very well are VN550 and VN560. Slower burning powders will work, but I seem to get better accuracy with the powders listed.
