300 WSMs Father and Son

Funny thing, I have this idea in my head that my dad is the same size as me, and then I see a picture of us together, and then I realize that I'm 2" taller and about 130 lbs. heavier.

My dad died when he was only 55 years old tomorrow I will be 57 . In stature my dad was only 5'4" and I am a smidgen under 6' we locked horns once or twice but never physical. I never met a harder working man he worked 2 different jobs until I was 17 we had 7 kids but there was always food on the table and we had clean clothes. Dad never hunted with us much until we all were out on our own. We have a saying here my POP was tougher than boiled Owl pee :wink:
Sometimes I miss him more now than when he was first gone. But the good thing is I will get to see him again some day .
