Looking for ideas....with the rifle I just got, I have 80+ pieces of prepped/primed brass, just need to fill 'em and shoot 'em! ;)

Also looked in the box of RCBS dies I got with it. Bonus...got the FL sizer and seater, plus a neck sizer. Nice...

Was thinking of picking up a box of 200gr PT's or AB's today and making up some loads. Ideas?

I was going through some of my grandfathers things that he loaded way back when as he loaded for my dads HH. He used 4350 and 180 gr sierras

When I was a pup we were feeding the 300's H-4831 with the 180 PT for hunting. Now I lean toward H-4350, but did shoot a really nice group the other day in another one of my 300's with RL-19. I have to reshoot again before I get excited. I tried H-1000 in another one of the 300 B's, but it did not like that at all. My favorite non hunting bullet for accuracy has always been the 180 Sierra BT, had very poor success as a hunting bullet, but have had good luck with them for accuracy. For those keeping track, I have a 721, 300 HH, bored to 300 B. A Mark V, 300 B. Two Mod 70's in 300 Win Mag. One might say I am fond of the 300's.

I always used W-W brass, federal 215 Mag Match primers, 69.0 grains of IMR4350 with the Partition 165 grain or 67.0 grains of IMR 4350 with the 180 Partition. Velocities were 3165 and 2940 fps respectively with a 26 inch barrel in my Model 70.

Same loads as I used in the .300 WSM with nearly identical results.

First run of 300H&H loads..... 200gr AB and 0.5gr increments of RL22.....shown with a 300WSM with a 180gr PT.
