Well, I bit the bullet (get it) and ordered 150 200 grain Partitions to load in the 300wby that has been sitting in the safe for 3 years. I need to shoot the factory ammo to obtain the brass but when I do, what powder should I look into and what speeds should I expect from the 300 Bee?

Just helped a friend work up a load for his M70 300Bee. 200gr NAB over 83gr of IMR7828ssc, Hornady brass, WinLR mag primers at an OAL of 3.6". It's shooting 3/4" groups at 3040fps out of a 24" barrel. Gonna be a great Elk combo!

That's great intel. Same load I'm running in my sons 300 Wby but with the 200 PT.

That is an enviable group, Scotty. It'd be sure to be a smile on even the face of a dour spinster.

It's a great shooting rifle. Hope to see the boy clobber something with it. It shoots to good to collect dust.

I have no doubt your son will make you proud and justify owning the rifle.
