It looks to me, like you already have a really good load by looking at the paper. What load are you using right now?

Welcome to the forum.
Looks like you have a shooter, congratulations!
What is your current load?

As for the E-Tips, I have only used the 7mm 150 gr. My best load had the bullet seated.100" off the lands. As you develop your loads, remember to start at starting min loads and work up to the Nosler mid range loads. Use the mid range load as your MAX load. Start with a seating depth of .100" off the lands as from what I have read and experienced, this is where your best accuracy is at. Let us know what loads you end up with and how they shoot for you.

I have played with the 150gr E-Tip with a 280Rem and RL22... This rifle will shoot most aything under a inch and thats what it did with the E-Tip to.....My taxidermist just shot him a 5x6 elk with it...

Another powder to try for your 300 WSM, which I will try in mine whenever it gets distributed, is the new Rel #17!!

According to Alliant, this new powder which was designed specifically for the WSM`s, gave the best velocity (a 104 fps increase) and the better accuracy in the 300 WSM vs all other powders in the Speer manual which are listed.

See the press release on accurateshooter.com dated 2/12, 13th or on the 14th.

Reloder® 17 was created with new technology to provide velocity greater than the competition in the most popular standard rifle calibers and the new short magnums. Following are recipes developed in our Ballistics Laboratory (all loads used Speer bullets and list the correct Overall Length- DO NOT SEAT THE BULLETS TO A LESS OVERALL LENGTH). These recipes are maximum loads and shall not be exceeded.

In there is also a link you can go to and access their reloading data for the 300 WSM using the Rel #17.

For the 300 WSM, a max. load of 66 gr. Rel #17 w/the 180 grainer gave 3087 fps. An increase of 104 fps over the nearest competitive powder listed in the Speer manual. Very impressive! Other cartridges also had some good velocity increases.

If you were loading for your 300 Win Mag Randy I could help ya..Haven't loaded for the short mags..Still lovin my belted magnums...Do you ever use your 300 Win mag anymore?

Mike,
I shot the barrel out of the 300Win so I rebarrel to 358STA  I have now a set of 300Win dies that are not getting used thinken I may need to get new 300 so I can use my dies agen.......

10-4..Sure is awesome cartridge..

After see what the 150gr E-Tips did for you moose hunting. Its got me fired up and ready to run some in my 300wsm........

Hope Nosler will make some 250gr 35cal E-Tips soon......

That 150gr E Tip in 30 cal is all a guy needs with the way it works..Gonna use that same load and bullet for this spring grizzly hunt..That right there tells the confidence I have in the E Tip bullet...

Do you think that the 300Win with 150gr E-Tip did a better job moose hunting than your 7mm STW with 150gr NP?
