Well I went out to the range yesterday with my savage model 10 and some 168 nosler custom competition bullets loaded up and heres what they did at 300 yards,

thats 4 shots at 300 yards loaded .010 off the lands

thats 4 shots at 300 yards loaded .015 off the lands

Thats the first time Ive had a chance to really test these bullets because cabelas striped my reciever where the front scope base goes on and I was shooting with it like that untill I could fix it and I had no Idea why my gun was shooting bad for a little while there!

Because of the wind I brought it back in to 200 yards, the sweet spot is .015 off the lands for my gun and these bullets, cant find the pic but at 200 I put all 5 shots into a 1" diameter orange circle!

I was using hornady match brass, trimmed and only neck sized, 44.5 grains of IMR 4064, and of course the Nosler 168 custom comp. bullets. These bullets come highly recomended from me, they shoot just as good as the other match bullets out there!

Just thought I would share my good experience with these wonderful bullets, cant wait till my shilen select match barrel comes in and then I can really see that these things will do!

um dont know why the pics didnt show up, did it just like the directions said to, can somebody help me?

Sounds great but I can't get the pics and I can be of no help to you. I know Pop can do you right though. He will probably be ckng shortly.

I can't see your photos either - but I agree - they are very good bullets!

Outstanding! Congratulations.
Maybe with the new barrel, you can hit the quarter!

Right click on the picture and hit properties. Copy the url and paste it. It should end in xxxxxx.jpeg.

On another note you gotta love them savages.

haha that would be sweet JD! If I wouldnt have been dealing with the wind I have a feeling that I would have been much closer to the 1" mark at 300 yards, I was looking threw the scope at the grass and dust blowing to try and pic and choose my shots.

I work on a ranch with a 1000 yard range and steel targets set up in between, and I got permission to set up a 600 yard range on our place by my house so lots of long range shooting to come!

I do love em pop, and so does my gunsmith hes a big fan of savage, hes gonna true up my reciever and some other stuff when he does my barrel also, should be real sweet! Been waiting for my barrel for almost 3 months!

I bought the gun cheap to see if this type of shooting was something I would really like and then upgrade later to something more accurate, but when I went to the gunsmith he recomended that I just rebarrel. He told me the gun he would buy if I really wanted a new one, but in the end it saved me a lot of money to just get a new barrel!
