.308 cal sabots

Oh they work! I tried them in my 30-06. Phenomenal velocities 4300+ with small 22 caliber slugs. 2 problems I came across
1. seating them is a "you know what" since they are plastic
2. Accuracy is dismal at best.

I gave that headache away (free) to someone else who had no problems in his life.

did you buy the sabbots or the premaid 30-06 remington ones,

whonder what kinds of velocity i would get out of my 300.

i figured they would be lucky to hit the broad side of a barn

I load some of the 30 cal sabots with the 22 cal bullets .
I found mine at http://www.eabco.com/Reports/report04.html
That is the load data .
Load closer to start and I get OK to good accurey , never great .

But the SKS with 60 gr bullets will do better than my eyes can ( 1 1/2 - 2" at 100 yds ) , with a load I worked out .

Get their sabot bullet seater , it helps .
Also I use a Lee universal flairing tool to just expand the case mouth , it makes seating much easyer .
