308 Win 180 grain Norma Bondstrike

That's impressive looking. Should dump a lot of energy.

Looks like a good load and bullet. I'll have to try and source some. Thanks for sharing.

Man, that’s an awesome mushroom. Reminds me of what the old sciroccos used to do before they screwed them up and made them thicker. Too bad Norma doesn’t have anything in stock on their website to replace my undersize 350 eights. I’d be all over them. They only list two bond strikes for loose projectiles and they’re out of stock on both of them.

Looks really good Scotty, I'm a big fan of Norma bullets and brass. These look really good at 308 speeds. Guys use them in the 30 cal magnums too.

That would be a great bullet in the 30 Nosler.
Talk about hitting like a freight train.

Yeah, I just checked their website again and they don’t have any but they’re basically an even trade if they were in stock for the credit they’re gonna give me. Darn it!

I am using the 143 bond strike in my 264wm if I ever recover a bullet I will be sure to share

The primary issue with Bond Strike is and always has been availability of component bullets for reloading. I bought a lifetime supply of the 143gr 6.5 Bond Strikes but the 180gr 30 cal are unobtanium. I just shot a big for SC doe this weekend with a 143gr BS out of a 26 Nosler. She turned off like a light switch, didn't even shake a leg DRT. I have probably killed 6 or so deer with the Bond Strike bullet in 6.5-284, 26 Nosler, and 6.5-300wby and I have not had to track one yet, very good terminal performance and very accurate for a bonded bullet. In fact they have the EXACT same aim point as Hornady ELD Match bullets, shoot the SAME in my rifles.

I find the Bond Strike to be a little bit softer than other bonded bullets which is a GOOD thing in my experience. They really dump a ton of energy on target!

I really want to get some 180 30Cal for my 30 Nosler, I am waiting... :)

The first pic is a Bond Strike exit wound at 308 yards from a 6.5-284 back in October. The other picture is where I shot the doe on the right with 143gr Bond Strike from a 26 Nosler, Bang flop.
