OK guys, I am starting with the boy's Savage 16 looking for a load.

Right now my #1 priority is the 200 gr Partition.

Quickload gave me tons of loads but when I cross checked with the latest Hornady manual there were some discrepancies between the two. Anyway I would love to get about 2900 fps and accuracy. We will see.

What say you??????????

No question in my mind, the 200 grain PT is my "go to" load in my 325 WSM. It slaps down moose and elk with authority. Two loadings give me excellent and almost identical results. The first is CCI250 and 64.5 grains of H4350. The second is F215 and 64 grains of Big Game. Either shoots 0.3 inch groups at 2750 fps for the first and 2872 fps for the latter.

Seems like 2900 should be very doable in the 325WSM. Wonder how it would react with RL15 or maybe RL17? I also read some data with IMR4007SC that seemed pretty good. Scotty

I have heard that some have had great results with RL 17. I do not have any on hand plus our piggy hunt is in 2 weeks. So I will try some H4350 and some RL 19 also next time. MOA and 2800 fps is good enough for my boy's hunt for now.

Pop,
My friends Tikka .325 WSM I am loading for I have used IMR4350 in both the 200 gr. AccuBond and the Partition. The AccuBond uses 65.5 grs of IMR4350 and the Partition uses 64.5 grs. of IMR4350. The Partition chronographed at 2812 fps and the AccuBond was just a bit more. Both shoot great and what he was fortunate to have happen was they both shot the same in the horizontal plane, the only difference was the Accubonds hit 1" higher at 100 yards than the Partition which means he could sight the Partitions in for 200 yards and the Accubonds would be dead on at about 250 yards.

IMR4350 if you have some :!:  I used Federal Large Magnum rifle primers. IN his particular rifle the OAL on the AccuBond was 2.900 & 2.865 for the Partition.

Pop,
My favorite 325 load is a 200gr. AccuBond over 66.4 gr. of IMR4350. I get .8" groups at 100 yds. and just shy of 2850fps. It has worked well on animals as well. :) (see photos of my Namibia trip in the Africa section). I'll wager the Partion would do as well.
Good luck!
Scott

Thank you gents. I found the load!

I doubt the bullet would even exit the barrel with only 46 grains of 4350, POP !!!!

Just razzin ya bud!!! i knew what you really meant

That sounds like a GREAT load. That 200gr PT at 2900 is everything you could want in a medium bore rifle. Scotty
