Thank goodness for QL. :)

Good luck with the load development Scott.

Thank you Dr Mike for the QL! Lots to look over. :)

Thanks Jim. Just trying to get my mind off this chemo and thought I might see what those A frames would do down the road.

Scott,

Note that pressure on these is set at a max of 64k psi. You can build to 65k psi, which gives you a little bit of room. When you lock in on a powder, let us know and someone will run that specific powder at 65k psi to get a tad more precise. I like the Swift A-Frame. Unfortunately, they are very expensive in Canada.

G'Day Fella's,

Scott, if I remember correctly, IMR 4320 is supposed to be The Powder for this cartridge!

I have a rifle in this cartridge but haven't reloaded for it, in a while.
I shoot 200 and 250grn bullets thru it but I'll have to go have a look, at what my powder charges/velocities are!

Doh!

I remember right Scott, Joel had really good luck with H414 and Speer 225's.. Said the accuracy was excellent.

Glad to see you back buddy!

Thanks, Scotty. I apologize for not getting back to you on the email. January has been a rough month all the way around for me. I have my second of 4 chemo treatments coming up this Tues. The first one was real bad so I am hoping this second one is isn't as rough.

Were all praying for your health buddy.

Write whenever you feel up to it.

G'Day Again,

Scott the load I use in my BRNO ZKK600, 24" barrel rifle are as follows;
200grn Hornady Spire Pt, 54.5grns of ADI AR-2208 (Hodgdon Varget, IMR 4064), Norma .30-06 cases, CCI BR-2 primer for 2666fps.
250grn Hornady Round Nose, 50grn of ADI AR-2208 (Hodgdon Varget, IMR 4064), Norma .30-06 cases, CCI BR-2 primer for 2390fps.

Now Scott, this rifle doesn't have a floated barrel, and these loads are for specifically designed, for POI with the open and ghost ring peep sights!
You may be able to get more velocity.......

Hope that helps

Doh!

Just bringing this back up to the top. Not sure why I thought about Scott today but wanted to post his Obituary. Scott was a great guy. Lost touch with him while I was deployed and he was going through his cancer treatment but I was very impressed. Seemed like he lived well. Pretty sure he even made TV by taking an elk on TV. We had plans to hunt together one of these years. Was a little sad to read this.

Rest in peace. Scotty

It always seems like the good die young, sorry to here of his passing may he rest in eternal peace.

Thank you for posting this, Scotty. Things like the death of a friend can slip past in the hurried pace of life.

Sorry to hear that. Life is so short. When the book of James says "life is a vapor that will soon pass away", the word used for "vapor" means the little puff of smoke when a match goes out. That's it. What a sorry way to kill a man too, cancer is from the pits of hell if you ask me.
