I totally agree, 250AB outta my RUM got me my moose w/o it running to a pond or into the thick nasty crap.

have you guys tried the 300gr AccuBond ? I've been able to buy some seconds and also overruns from shooters pro shop . I'm going to start with these to see how they do .

I used them in my 338 RUM last year when they first came out. I shot a frw deer with them and they worked great. I decided to go back to the 250 gr AB because they shoot flatter.
The 300 gr AB had a MV of 2680 fps vs the 250 gr AB at 3000 fps. Both loads shoot under .5 MOA.

JD , that makes sense . I'm thinking I'll be able to be in the 2800 - 2850 FPS range with the 300's , time will tell . thanks Jim

it's a 338 lapua with a 10 twist 30"bbl , tac338 action , A-5 McMillan with adj cheek and adj LOP , H S bottom metal , jewel trigger . I've got all the reloading components gathered up . it's unfired yet , I need a scope and rings . it will be a NXS in 5.5 - 22 or a 8 - 32 . everyday for the last 10 or so days I have my mind made up , then I change it . decisions , decisions . I think it will make a pretty good long range hammer . I'll have to get a pic and put it on the rifle name thread . " Samantha "
