Thought you guys would like to see some recovered 200 gr AB bullets
from my 338 RUM. Test media is gallon milk jugs filled with water shot at 50 yds(impact vel 3080 fps),
100 yds(imp vel 2961 fps), 200 yds(imp vel 2734 fps) and 300 yds(imp vel 2518 fps).

As you can see, very impressive performance even when started out at at a muzzle velocity of 3200 fps.

They work as good on bottles as they do on elk!!
Of course bottles are easier to hunt..Thanks J.D. for the visual and thank you Nosler for the AccuBond!

Here's a .338 Partition, 210 gr. recovered from a 6x6 bull at 300 yards. It weighs 190 grains. A .340 Weatherby was used. Both the AB and the Partition bullets are a fine pair as seen in JD's pics and this one.

That 210 gr PT looks pretty good! How much penetration did you get on your elk?

That right there is why I love Nosler bullets for hunting. That's one "deadly mushroom" right there.

JD,

I set-up for the shot at 300yds+/-, at a steep angle down-hill. By the time I finally got off the shot, the 6x6 bull was around 350 yds. The bullet struck a large rib up high on the right-side going-in and broke an off-side rib low, staying just under the skin. He never even kicked, just sank to the ground.
