Great shooting Jim! Congrats on a great shot. That almost looks like you are having way too much fun!

Scotty,

This is all in the name of research. Just trying to collect data on bullet expansion.
Yea, it is a lot of fun. Back straps are pretty good too.

Jim, you are a good man, sacrificing so much for the research! I look at the 300 AB's you sent every morning. They just make me smile when I see them..

I am not sure where you would have to hit a deer to hold onto one of them.. I am not even sure a lengthwise shot would hold onto one of them monsters.

Scotty,

I think 3 deer, end to end to end would stop one of these big bullets.

Yeah, they are some cool bullets for sure Jim. I am looking forward to hearing about some more game taken with them.

How are others doing with the AB's in their big 338's? I would think there has to be some folks working on their loads for the Fall by now.

Jim - I think this big new 300 gr AccuBond is going to be a real hit with the long-range hunting guys. Good BC. Good accuracy. And it's a real hunting bullet, something that's been lacking in a .338" 300 gr bullet.

I know a fellow who has used the 300 gr Sierra HPBT Matchking, and has killed game decisively with it, but even he questioned why such a big bullet broke up so much on black bear... The mass of the Sierra did kill very well, and it was/is very accurate - but the new AccuBond was designed from the start as a hunting bullet and I think it will enjoy considerable success as one. Nosler may well have hit a home run with this one.

Am also looking forward to seeing some results posted from hunters who use them on elk, moose and bear - all of which seem very appropriate for such a large bullet.

Heck, I'm happy as all get out only using a 260 AccuBond from the .375 H&H!

Regards, Guy

Nice shooting Jim! Have you found a market for those velvet antlers yet....

If the MI DNR didn't require you to turn them in, Santa's helpers would surely take then.
